Cibolo Creek Community Church is excited to partner with Buckner International to serve the Colonias in the Rio Grande Valley.  Join this family friendly mission!  

JUNE 3 - 6, 2026

Along the US-Mexico border, a humanitarian crisis exists with the ever increasing number of people seeking asylum from the corrupt governments, force labor, and oppressing poverty of their native countries. Some refugees are lucky enough to find housing
in shelters or rooms for rent, but for thousands the only option is a tarp held up by sticks and stones.

Just on the other side of this crisis, many find themselves along the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas border towns, called “colonias”, with similar limited resources. Cibolo Creek is sending teams to these colonias to work with Buckner International, a ministry that is helping to lift the disadvantaged out of their impoverished state utilizing partnerships with local churches and a variety of assets and resources. The goal of this short 3-day trip is to not only help to meet needs, but to bring hope to many South Texans living in poverty by loving them in Jesus’ name.

Team members will leave on a Wednesday afternoon, and return on Saturday evening. Team members are responsible for arranging their own transportation to, from and during their time in the Valley. The trip cost includes lodging, all meals and project needs.

 

TRIP DETAILS:

• Registration Deadline: 5PM February 26, 2026 (40 total spots available)
• Trip Fee: $300.00* per person OR Family of 3+ is $200.00* per person
  • (*A Non-refundable deposit of $50 per person is due upon registration, final balance due May 24, 2025.  The final balance must be paid by cash or check.)
• Transportation:  Team members will arrange their own transportation to and from the Valley Baptist Retreat Center located at 1600 US E Business 83, Mission, TX 78572 - approximately a 4 hour drive - as well as to and from project sites while on the trip (max distance within 20 miles).

FINANCE/SCHOLARSHIP/FUNDRAISING POLICY:

THERE IS A $50 NON-REFUNDABLE PER PERSON DEPOST REQUIRED AT REGISTRATION.

Remaining balance of $250.00 OR family balance is due by May 20, 2026.  Any registration with an outstanding balance after final due date will forfeit their reservation and deposit.  You will receive a reminder prior to the due date, but it is ultimately your responsibility to pay the remaining balance.

Cancellation before May 20, 2026 may be eligible for a refund less the $50 non-refundable deposit.  Cancellation on or after May 21, 2026 will not be eligible for refund.  Your funds will be utilized for the trip projects.
